How did you catch up with the markets today?

Got time to read the newspaper? Or maybe browse a few Instagram reels? Caught up with it on Twitter? Did you tune into Zee Business? Or did you simply open your favourite trading app?

Markets have been consumed in the same format for some time. A little bit scattered, a little bit broken. With the advent of AI, information has become abundant, but it’s become as much harder to make sense of all of it.

To add to this, most of that information is still text-heavy. That works when you have time. But for a lot of people, markets are squeezed in between meetings, commutes, work, and life.

India has an estimated 140M users who use voice to access the internet, with the number of podcast listeners expected to grow to 267M by 2029. Even in independent surveys, there is a visible shift towards consuming news and information in audio and video-led formats.

Missed the Market?

In March, around 9% of all questions asked on fuzz were users trying to stay current: asking for the latest news, recent developments, results, filings, or what was moving in the market that day.

fuzzers trying to prepare for the market asked,

“What stocks will be in the news today? Which stocks are likely to see action today and why?”

Others came to fuzz in the middle of the day asking,

“current market update and relevent news geo level and india level 12.51 pm”

…and some came back after the close with asks like,

“Summarize latest news for indian stocks after market closed today”

In each of these instances, a key insight is that people miss the market amidst their busy schedules and come back to fuzz to make sense of of what mattered.

We’re trying to solve for this exact experience at fuzz.

Starting today, when you log in to fuzz, depending on the time of day, you may see a short audio byte even before you ask your question - helping you quickly catch up on the market context around you.

For most of you though, since you’ve signed up on fuzz, we’re starting this Substack to help you keep up with everything around finance, money, and markets!

So what were we up to?

One of our goals with fuzz has always been simple: if you ask a finance question, you should get an answer that is grounded, useful, and built for the way finance actually works — with decimal-level accuracy.

That sounds obvious, but it’s not how most generic AI products work.

Ask a large model something like,

“What is the revenue of Reliance Industries for FY26?”

…and it may pull information from across the internet and attempt an answer quickly. But more often than not, you’re accepting approximation as a tradeoff for speed.

That’s where Artham comes in.

Every conversation on fuzz is now powered by Artham under the hood — the intelligence we’ve been building to make finance conversations more reliable, more context-aware, and better suited for money and markets.

The goal is not just to answer faster. It is to answer better.

In fact, this breakthrough was covered by major news publications and even made it to the global stage at Amazon’s tech conference in Las Vegas.

Why this matters

At fuzz, we care deeply about getting the foundations right.

In finance, along with accuracy, a good experience starts with trust, it starts with security. It starts with data privacy.

A lot of tools in the market today are ultimately thin wrappers over large frontier models hosted outside India. That may be fine for casual use cases. But when the conversation involves your private, vulnerable financial context, we do not think that should be the default.

We believe users should know where their data is processed, where it is stored, and what control they have over it.

All your data powering your conversations is processed via our models, hosted on servers in India. If you choose to delete a conversation, it is deleted from our records as well.

We believe this is the bar.

When it comes to financial conversations, strong foundations matter just as much as intelligent answers.

What this means for you

From the outside, fuzz may still feel familiar. But the engine underneath has become much stronger.

So whether you are exploring a stock, a mutual fund, an IPO; following market developments, or asking a deeper finance question, the experience is now built on a stronger foundation than before.
